因受新冠疫情影響，第八屆亞洲授權業卓越大獎揭曉儀式于1月12日下午5時首次以線上形式舉行。觀眾可以通過2021「香港國際授權展」線上展官網的“IP探索”頻道收看，也可以通過協會的直播平臺收看。

國際授權業協會主席Maura Regan表示，“我們很高興在此再次表彰過去一年在亞洲授權業界具有突出表現和卓越成就的品牌及企業。本屆大獎共設有13個獎項類別，經過激烈角逐，“64強”脫穎而出，成功入圍，這些入圍項目和產品過去一年在亞洲市場有著非常出色的實力和表現。由于新冠肺炎疫情的影響，今年我們無法像往年一樣在線下交流，通過線上的方式，我代表國際授權業協會對所有獲獎者致以熱烈的祝賀，向長期以來支持協會發展的朋友們表示衷心的感謝！期待明年在這個時候能與大家再次相聚?！?/span>

亞洲授權業卓越大獎由國際授權業協會自2013年開始舉辦，每年一屆，是亞洲授權業界的最高獎項，旨在表彰過去一年在亞洲授權市場擁有卓越成就的品牌及企業。
